What is the mission and focus of your school?
The Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration enhances the quality of democratic governance. We equip aspiring and current public service professionals coming from wide-ranging backgrounds with the tools to analyze policy and lead and manage organizations and teams. Our faculty’s scholarship informs debate on current and emerging policy and administration issues. We foster effective teaching to prepare students for active and reflective engagement in pursuit of the public interest.
We offer the following degrees and certificates: Master of Public Administration, Master of Public Policy, Master of Arts in Environmental Resource Policy, Ph.D. in Public Policy & Administration, Certificate in Budget & Public Finance, Certificate in Contexts of Environmental Policy, Certificate in Environmental Resource Policy, and Certificate in Nonprofit Management.
The Trachtenberg School community includes faculty and students with expertise in a number of areas, including environmental, science, energy, and technology policy; international and comparative policy and administration; policy analysis and evaluation; public and nonprofit management; security and emergency management policy; and social policy.
