University of Washington Public Policy Camp

About Our Policy Camps

The Public Policy Camp is an APPAM initiative aimed at introducing the field of public policy to a group of students who might not otherwise be familiar with it, and increasing the pipeline of diverse students into APPAM institutional member graduate public policy and public affairs schools.  We know that only by having all voices at the table can we be successful in our efforts of improving critical public policies for all.

Seattle Central College - 1701 Broadway, Seattle, WA 98122

Are you curious about how polices are set and implemented? Do you want to learn about careers in public policy? This conference is for you! Come join us to learn about policy making and impactful careers in the policy space. Connect with policy makers and other students that share your passion and curiosity.

The single day event aims to inform, inspire and empower undergraduates across higher education in the Puget sound, including community and technical colleges and UW systems. Policy Camp is designed for undergraduate students of color who want to learn about public policy, and careers in public policy and public service.

This event in partnership with the Association for Public Policy Analysis & Management (APPAM) is created to introduce public policy to undergraduate students who might not otherwise be familiar with the field, and is designed to show underrepresented undergraduate students what a career in the policy world might look like.
