At APPAM we strive to provide our members with access to a broad collection of tools, content, practical resources, professional development opportunities, and a smart and vibrant community of peers—all to help you do your job better. In doing so, APPAM members have complete access to the members-only E-Lists.
APPAM E-Lists feature components such as:
- Direct access to the E-List from your APPAM member profile
- Ability to search past E-List messages
- Access to contact other E-List subscribers directly
The APPAM General E-List will provide a members-only discussion group where you may seek practical answers and solutions from your peers. This new E-List community will be a great medium with which to solicit the advice of your peers, benefit from their experience, and participate in an ongoing conversation.
If you were subscribed to the current APPAM-L listserve and are a current APPAM member, there is nothing additional you need to do! If you are not an APPAM member, but would like to continue your subscription to the E-List, please visit here to join online.
If you are an APPAM member and are not currently subscribed to the E-List, but would like to be, please see below for instructions on how to subscribe.
The purpose of the APPAM E-List is to encourage and facilitate communication and information exchange among members of the APPAM community. APPAM’s E-Lists are an open forum for APPAM members to freely share their knowledge and questions about policy analysis and management. All members are welcome to participate, regardless of their level of experience.
APPAM will use the E-Lists to make announcements, reports, calls for papers, conference agendas, proceedings, and other information of relevance to the APPAM membership. APPAM E-Lists are moderated and all messages are approved before they are sent out. If you have any questions, please contact APPAM at info@appam.org.
Appropriate Uses of the E-Lists Include
- Announcing the availability of books, reports, research, data, or other types of appropriate information.
- Requesting assistance with a research question or problem or with a curriculum issue in public policy and management.
- Announcing other meetings, conferences, fellowships, calls for papers, RFPs, and other professional opportunities.

The E-Lists will not distribute the following types of announcements:
- Employment opportunities (please post jobs, postdoctoral fellowships and internships at PublicServiceCareers.org).
